I have been a therapist and personal development trainer for 20 years, specialising in eating disorders for the last 10 years.
I have created a non-traditional therapeutic system for treating eating disorders that gets consistent results. From working with and to some extent living in the minds of people with this problem, I have identified the common patterns of thinking and behaviour that run through the majority of people with eating disorders.
I engage on a daily basis with the condition via sessions, either talking directly to an anorexic or bulimic sufferer or their friends and family.
Owing to the sheer number of interactions I have had and by using some basic analytical tools, questioning techniques and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), I have created a strategy for accelerating change and recovery.
I have broken down the anorexic and bulimic mindset into parts (for example guilt or perfectionism) with specific attitudinal exercises for each. By following the process, positive outcomes can be achieved over a period of time, leading to recovery.
I reside in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath with my wife of 26 years, two daughters aged 22 and 19 and two dogs. I enjoy walking, reading, cooking and support Athletic Bilbao FC.
